Recent News.

On the Saturday, 13th June, the City of Perth Band held their 2009 Quiz Night. 15 tables competed for victory in a 10 round struggle of amusing questions, trials and tribulations! Congratulations to Shane's winning table. The night was extremely successful, and we look forward to making this an annual event.

City of Perth Brass Band Tour.

26th September - 5th October 2009

The Brass Band are preparing to go their long awaited Tour / Cruise in September, 2009! Your continued support will help us promote the band and the City of Perth in Singapore and Malaysia.

Fundraising at the City of Perth Band

Every year both bands work together to make sure the City of Perth Band has the funds to continue running at its prime. This year, efforts have been doubled, with the Brass Band going on tour in September 2009. Current fundraising efforts include:

City of Perth Band and the Western Australian Charity Orchestra.

On Monday 9th February, Ross Sandrock (Tuba - Brass Band), Daniel Symons (Trombone - Concert Band) and Wafi Zainal (Trombone/Tuba) represented the City of Perth Band for a concert with Samuel Parry's Western Australian Charity Orchestra in front of a crowd of about 1020 people inside the Perth Concert Hall.

The band allowed WACO to use the band's tubular bells for the concert program, which included John Williams' Star Wars Theme and Tchaikovsky's 1812 Overture. In return, the band has been mentioned (complete with a bio) in the concert program, which helped promote the City of Perth Band.
