Text Box: A reminder for those involved, and for those that aren’t, listen closely! The City of Perth Concert Band is organizing a dinner dance for the 7th of November, 2009.

Highlights include performances by the City of Perth Concert Band and Swing Band, along with any smaller ensembles or solo acts who wish to feature.

Meanwhile, those not involved with the musical aspect will be dining on a fantastic three-Text Box: course meal.

The venue is down as Lynwood Hall at the moment, just off Roe Highway.

Contact Steve Hardwick for more details. We’ll let you know more as it gets closer!

Text Box: Also lying around in the
bandroom are several boxes of chocolate to be sold; they’re all mixed boxes, and anyone is
welcome (and encouraged!) to take as many boxes as they think they can sell. The chocolates sell for $1.20 each.

While it may seem small at first, the fundraising benefits not only you personally, but the band as a whole, so if you haven’t already, give it a thought!
Text Box: For those of us in the Brass Band, there may only be just over two months until we hop on the plane to Singapore, but there’s still a lot of work to be done! For those of us looking to reduce the hole the trip is sure to make in some of our pockets, there’s plenty of fundraising going on.

First on the line is the Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings Innalloo on the 1st and 2nd of August.
Previous sausage sizzles have gone down fantastic, with the band earning upwards of $400 from previous experiences. If you haven’t volunteered to be on the roster, give it a thought; it’s great fun, and an easy way for the band to earn money toward Singapore!
